Programme Introduction:

To cope with chaotic business challenges and to sustain profitability in a time of crisis, the need to capitalize on the strength of a business for holistic marketing operations is rapidly evolving. As a consequence, marketing is also gradually stirring towards strategic marketing directions. However, pursuing specific strategic marketing objectives needs thoughtful choices and relevant strategies. In this endeavor, the quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) is considered a practical tool to tangibly move marketing decisions into strategic marketing directions and assist the marketing managers, decision-makers, and strategic marketing scholars in conceptualizing, setting, and choosing strategies. This programme will enable the participants to learn and apply the QSPM as an analytical tool to develop pragmatic strategic marketing decisions.

Programme Objective:

  • Understanding QSPM and its pertinency in the context of strategic marketing.
  • Providing a detailed overview of the QSPM analysis and how it makes the SWOT of an organization more vibrant for strategic marketing decisions.

Programme Content:

  • Strategic marketing and its relevance for the contemporary disruptive business environment.
  • Introduction to the QSPM analysis as a strategic tool.
  • A six-step process of conducting SWOT and QSPM analysis for strategic marketing decisions.
  • Developing objective strategies via using QSPM analysis.

Content will be covered through a mix of lectures, cases, interactions, and presentations.

Marketing managers and executives directly engaged in long-term marketing and strategic marketing decisions and scholars working in strategic marketing and strategy domain

Program Directors:

Prof. Pramod Chandra is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the FORE School of Management. He is a PDF from IIT Kanpur and Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee. He has more than 15 years of experience in academia, research, and consultancy. He has published several research papers in reputed indexed journals. Dr. Pramod is also actively associated with various international academic bodies like the American Educational Research Association (AERA), Academy of Management (AOM), and International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM), the University of Alberta as a reviewer for their well-reputed conferences, workshops, research and grant proposals. Presently Dr. Chandra is also associated with Business Strategy and Development, an International Journal of ERP, and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. as a member of the editorial board. His area of research includes strategic marketing, marketing strategy for sustainable natural resource business, and marketing for sustainability through a qualitative research perspective.
