Full-Time Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Applied for PhD equivalence to Association of Indian Universities

1.0 Admission Criteria

FORE School of Management, New Delhi offers a full-time Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) approved by AICTE. The objective of this programme is to enhance the body of knowledge in the research domain and its dissemination. It is aimed at admitting scholars with exceptional academic background, strong motivation, discipline, and having a strong inclination towards good quality research.  

FPM at FORE offers specializations in the following Areas:

Eligibility

The candidates for the programme must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. The degrees of candidates from foreign universities must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Similarly, the PGDM from indian Institutions must be recognized as equivalent to MBA by AIU and approved by AICTE.

Master’s Degree or equivalent in Management/ Engineering and Technology/ Economics/ Social Science/ Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities with FIRST CLASS shall be considered for admission to Fellow Programme.

Those appearing for their final examination in their respective discipline can also apply. Such students, if selected, shall be provisionally admitted, provided they complete all requirements in obtaining their Master’s Degree before September 30, 2025. The admission of these candidates shall remain provisional until they produce the marksheet, proving that they satisfy the eligibility criteria. The deadline for submitting the final year marksheet is December 31, 2025.

1.2 Age Limit

There is no age restriction.

FPM (Including EFPM)- 10 seats.

2.0 Admission Process

2.1 Selection Process

In order to be shortlisted for the selection interview, applicants must have a valid score of one of the following competitive examinations: Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs/GATE/GRE/GMAT/UGC-NET or JRF/CSIR or the FORE Entrance test (FET). FET will be conducted by FORE School of Management on Thursday, March 06, 2025.

GATE, GRE, GMAT or NET-UGC, JRF-UGC/CSIR scores of up to last two years (i.e., test taken on or after December 01, 2022) only will be considered valid. CAT scores of up to last one year (i.e., test taken on or after December 01, 2023)

After the written test is over, the Academic Qualification documents and Experience Documents will be verified

Subsequently, all the candidates have to give a presentation (around 10-15 minutes) on their Tentative Research Proposal on the area of research interest on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The candidates will be called for a personal interview for final selection on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and the selected candidates for this programme will be intimated by Friday, March 21, 2025.

Any change in the above mentioned dates will be intimated to the candidates separately.

The decision of the Selection Committee regarding admission shall be final. Communication shall be sent only to the selected candidates. The Institution shall not entertain any queries or correspondence in respect of those not selected.

3.0 Credit Requirements

In partial fulfillment of the requirement of the Fellow Programme, a minimum number of Course credits are required to be earned as prescribed below:

3.2 Details of Courses and Seminar

The stream specific Courses and Seminars shall be decided as approved by the FPM Committee on the recommendation by the candidate’s Guide(s) and the Research Advisory Committee.

3.3 Duration for earning Credits(Course Work)

All credits specified above shall be earned within a maximum of two year's from the date of admission to the Programme. Extension after two year's shall be approved by the Director, FSM for a period of one year with a review of progress to be submitted every six months. Final approval shall be given by the competent authority of the Institution.

4.0 Duration of the Programme

4.1 Time Limit

A Candidate shall submit his/her Thesis only after a minimum period of two year's after registration. However, the maximum period allowed for the submission of the Thesis is five year's from the date of admission to the Programme.

If a scholar fails to submit the thesis within the prescribed upper time limit due to reasons beyond his/her control, he/she shall request the Director, FSM for an extension. If the scholar’s justification is considered satisfactory, the Director, FSM may permit him/her to re-register to the Programme subject to the payment of the re-registration fee. This re-registration shall, however, be effective only for a period of two (02) year's, beyond which no extension shall be permitted.

4.2 Break or Unauthorized absence from the Programme

Any break, without approval from competent authority or unauthorized absence from the Programme shall lead to the cancellation of admission.

5.0 Financial Assistance for Fellow Programme Scholar

Full time students, less than or equal to 45 year's of age, admitted into Fellow Programme in Management are eligible to be considered for an Institute fellowship of Rs. 56,550/- (Including 30% House Rent Allowance) per month for the first two year's and Rs. 68,250/- (Including 30% House Rent Allowance) per month during the third and the fourth year of the program, respectively. The maximum duration of the program for availing fellowship is four year's. All selected students, holding an Indian nationality, are eligible for the award of the fellowship. The FPM scholars who are getting a JRF/SRF fellowship or are drawing a salary are not eligible for the fellowship.

All Scholars are also eligible to get a grant for buying book/hardware/software/ to support their fieldwork, etc.This Contingency grant of Rs. 30,000/- shall be applicable from the third year, and any unspent amount from the third year can be utilized in the fourth year. The grant is reimbursed on production of valid and original receipts. Also, all payments (contingency grant) requests are to be recommended by the concerned supervisor and approved by Dean (Research). In case of JRF/SRF scholars, if the scholarship that they are getting does not provide for a contingency grant, then they may avail the same subject to authentic proof.

After successful completion of one year, a FPM scholar is also eligible for a conference support of Rs. 1.5 lakh during the entire programme for presenting her/his research paper(s). Within this budget, the scholar can participate through paper presentation in one International Conference and/or two National Conferences and/or one Workshop.

Every full time FPM Scholar is expected to work on institutional activities as required.

The grant of financial assistance will be subject to satisfactory progress in the programme.

7.0 How to Apply

7.1 FPM Application Form

Applicants can fill the online form and make an online payment of Rs. 2500/- (including applicable taxes) at the admission portal http://fpmadmissions.fsm.ac.in/register Complete application form together with all relevant documents to be uploaded online on or before Monday, March 03, 2025.

7.2 Supporting Documents

The supporting documents to be submitted along with the online application form will consist of:

1. Scanned copy of score of the competitive examination to be considered for admission as applicable.
2. Scanned copies of marksheets or transcripts of grades obtained in their qualifying examination.
3. Scanned copies of School certificate and University degrees.
4. Percentage conversion certificate from College/University (In case of CGPA/CPA).
5. Applicants are required to provide two professional references, preferably from individuals who have directly supervised or worked closely with the candidate, including their names, current positions, contact numbers and email addresses.
6. Scanned Copies of Work Experience Certificate (if any).
