Introduction
FORE Centre for Political Leadership and Governance (FCPLG) is dedicated to shaping the next generation of political leaders committed to ethical, inclusive, and transparent governance. Through innovative research, educational programs, and collaborative initiatives, we aim to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to navigate complex political landscapes. Our focus is on promoting democratic values, accountability, and social justice, while fostering leadership that drives sustainable development and addresses the needs of diverse communities in an ever-evolving global society.
FORE School of Management (FSM), established in 1992, operates under the aegis of the Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE), a non-profit institution founded in 1981. FORE is committed to advancing Management Education, Research, Training, and Consultancy. Incorporated in 1981 as a non-profit institution. FORE has been working with industry and academia to create a learning ecosystem for innovative and sustainable business practices, and to build leaders in today’s global business environment.
Rationale
The need for effective political leadership and good governance has never been more critical, especially in today’s rapidly changing global landscape. Many countries face challenges related to corruption, inequality, and political instability, highlighting the importance of fostering leaders who are not only skilled but also ethical and accountable. The Centre for Political Leadership and Governance aims to address this need by providing a platform for individuals to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to lead effectively. By emphasizing inclusivity, transparency, and democratic principles, the Centre aims to cultivate leaders adept at addressing complex political challenges while prioritizing community well-being. This will ultimately contribute to stronger, more resilient political systems and sustainable development worldwide.
Objectives
- Development: Contribute to holistic development of existing, new, and prospective parliamentarians, legislators, councillors, and representatives at the grass-roots level by providing a strong knowledge base and practical training.
- Training, Research and Consultancy: Undertake Training, Research and consulting in the area of leadership, election management and electoral studies, governance and policy making and their impact on social and economic development and nation building.
- Promote Ethical Leadership: Foster the development of political leaders committed to integrity, accountability, and transparency in decision-making.
- Strengthen Democratic Institutions: Support the growth and functioning of democratic institutions by training leaders who value and protect democratic principles.
- Enhance Public Policy Understanding: Equip future leaders with the tools to design and implement policies that address pressing national issues like poverty, education, healthcare, and climate change.
