To take a walk down the memory lane, the alumni meet JUBILATE 2016 was inaugurated by the Director of FORE School of Management, New Delhi, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Das on 15th October at India Habitat Centre and attended by Board members, faculty, alumni and students.
The meet commenced with a warm welcome by student members of FORE Alumni Network followed by a musical performance by current students, of a delightful medley of songs, reminding everyone of all the forgotten times. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. Many of the current students were also seen interacting with their seniors who had graduated last year - sharing and learning from their experiences. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen interacting and enjoying the occasion. The occasion was graced by more than 200 Alumni and their family members ranging across various batches from various parts of the country.
Prof. Freda Swaminathan, Professor in charge of FORE Alumni Network, welcomed the gathering and reinforced with alumni that this was an evening where their alma mater was celebrating their success.
The inaugural address was given by the Director, where he praised the achievements of Alumni of FORE School of Management in all walks/spheres of life. He felt that it was matter of great pride for FORE School of Management that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Government organizations, PSUs, Private sector, Academic Institutions. Many of them, he mentioned, are successful entrepreneurs providing jobs to others as well. He praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between the Alumni and FORE School of Management and current students.
Alumni were congratulated by the Board members of FORE School of Management, Colonel (Dr.) S.P. Wahi, Dr.Vinayshil Gautam, (Senior managing Director and Principal Economic Advisor Protiviti India), and Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar (Vice-President and Treasurer FORE School Of Management). The Occasion was also attended by Mr. Rupesh Kumar Pati, recently elected President of FORE Alumni Association, faculty and staff members of FORE School of Management.
The speech was followed by an award ceremony to felicitate a few distinguished alumni of FORE School Of Management.
The Alumni Recognition Award for Executive Leadership was awarded to Mr. Vishal Tuhan (Wave 9) – Head of Finance, The Blackstone Group.
The Alumni Recognition Award for Contribution to Alma Mater to Ms. Arti Aggarwal (Wave 14) – Head HR, Essar Group.
The Alumni Recognition Award for Contribution to Alma Mater to Ms. Vandana Sharma (Wave 5) –General Manager – Business Services and Support India, Rio Tinto.
Alumni Recognition Award for Entrepreneurship to Mr. Sanjeev Malhotra (Wave 3) – Managing Partner, Prosight Partners.
The vote of the thanks was presented by Vibhanshu Singhal, Student Co-ordinator, FORE Alumni Network.
The inaugural ceremony was followed by a gala Dinner and Cocktails at the Margosa lawn where interaction among the alumni, faculty members and students was lively and full of fun. The event created and revived many memories for the alums where they felt the importance of coming home and living their old memories.
The Meet ended with promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved alma mater, FORE School of Management, New Delhi
