Dr. Vinayshil Gautam

Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, a legend in the field of management thinking and practice, is currently the Vice Chairman of FORE School of Management, New Delhi.

Dr. Gautam was Founder Director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode and Leader of the consulting team at IIM, Shillong. He was the 1st Head of the 1st statutory Management Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) in the IIT pantheon. He has served as Senior Advisor to KPMG and as Senior Managing Director and Principal Economic Advisor of the global consulting firm Protiviti (I) Member Private Ltd.

He has been adviser to several governmental departments, agencies and corporations. Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, is a widely respected thinker and institution builder. He has been a visiting faculty at Universities of: Sussex, Brunel, Dominican, Minnisota etc. and delivered lectures at Cambridge University, University of London; Toronto University; University of York; Duke University. He has been the Visitor's nominee on the Court of BHU, Academic Council of Vishwabharati; Chancellor's nominee on the University Council of Jammu; etc. He is currently the Chairman of D K International Foundation.

He has served on policy and administrative committees of Department of personnel and Administrative Reforms, Cabinet Secretariat; Ministry of Transport and Shipping; DST; MHRD etc. He has represented India in activities of UNESCO; APO; Economic Conclave in Morocco, etc.

He has been closely associated with Boards of various Indian and Non-Indian Organizations. List includes SAIL, SpiceJet, KEC International, UTI International, Shivam AutoTech, UTI AMC, Exim, JK Industries, HZL, Lake Palace Hotels and Motels, GAIL, Mumbai Port Trust.

He has authored/edited over two dozen books & over 150 papers-several of them are award winning. He is widely sought after as an impact making consultant.

Extensively travelled, and internationally celebrated, Dr. Gautam’s contribution to learning, training and strategic thinking is an indicator of his range and depth. His many fellowship (Including of that of the Royal Asiatic Society, London; Association of Business Executives, UK; ARTDO International, Manila) and lifetime achievement awards are a unique tribute to his accomplishments.
