Problem identification is the key in conducting an in-depth inquiry, to address various socio-economic issues. But before proceeding for research one should have thorough understanding of the rules to be followed. The process of research had been evolved with the passage of time and therefore there exist some systematization and uniformity in the process of exploration. This is needed so that the findings must be globally accepted and scientifically recognized. Keeping these points in mind the programme intends to familiarize the participants with various tools and techniques of research in social sciences. This will help them in conducting their independent research in social sciences.
The prime motto of the FDP is to equip Faculty, researchers, practitioners, and scholars with sufficient tools so that they can conduct their independent research. Data merely won't reveal information unless it is organized in a scientific manner. Besides, drawing inferences could be more sharpen if the data set can be condensed into sensible statistics. The program aimed to inculcate these skills through hands-on sessions by using IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences').
Lecturers to understand the rationale behind the application of the statistical tools and Practical Lab Sessions (Hands-on Training on SPSS)
