Programme Introduction:
In this FDP, the participants will delve into the fascinating world of prompt engineering. The professors will learn to effectively leverage prompts to enhance their teaching practices and research endeavors. From creating customized chatbot interactions to generating high-quality outputs, participants will gain practical skills that can be immediately applied in their classrooms and scholarly work.
Learning Outcomes:
•By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
•Understand the concept of prompt engineering and its relevance in AI applications.
•Craft effective prompts for various tasks, including lesson planning, administrative tasks, and research.
•Analyze and revise chatbot responses to achieve desired outcomes.
•Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve productivity and creativity in research.

Self-directed learning: Professors will actively engage in hands-on activities and explore prompt engineering concepts independently.
Relevance: The FDP will emphasize real-world applications and demonstrate how prompt engineering aligns with their teaching and research goals.
Problem-solving: Participants will tackle practical challenges related to prompts and chatbot interactions.
Collaboration: While avoiding group activities, the participants will indulge in peer discussions and knowledge sharing
Hands-on/Demos and Tools
The participants will explore AI tools like chatbots and language models. They will practice crafting prompts to generate educational content, quizzes, and personalized student feedback.
Infrastructure/Software/Datasets Needed
•Laptops for the participants
•Internet connection
•Access to AI platforms (e.g., Bing, Bard, ChatGPT)
•The AI tool used for the activity will be web-based, so no specific software needs to be installed. No specific datasets are required for the FDP.
•The participants must have registered (unpaid) accounts with the above before the commencement of the FDP.
The FDP is structured to gradually build understanding, from AI basics to practical applications in education. The focus on individual hands-on activities allows professors to directly experience the power of prompt engineering.

Prof. Tarun Kumar Singhal
Dr. Tarun Kumar Singhal is working as a Professor in the area of Information Technology at FORE School of Management, New Delhi, India. He is a seasoned academician with 29 years of experience in teaching, research, consulting, and training & development. He is actively involved in delivering courses on Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Information Technology. He is serving as an Assessor with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), India, as a Domain Expert with the School of Vocational Education (SVE), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and as an External Member of the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) of Amity International Business School, Amity University UP. He has conducted management programs and training programs for corporate executives within and outside India. He has several publications in SCOPUS/WoS/ABDC/ABS indexed/listed journals to his credit. He has been recognized with various awards at national as well as international platforms for his contribution to teaching and research.
