Download Brochure

Programme Introduction
In social science study, measurement is critical. However, measurement is a major difficulty for social scientists, both in terms of daily practice and professional reputation. This course will introduce participants to fundamental measurement concepts. Scale construction, item analysis, reliability, validity, and measurement error will all be covered in this curriculum. The training will be divided into theoretical and practical sessions that will impart a working understanding of concepts through the use of statistical tools such as IBM SPSS/IBM AMOS/R-software. In summary, the FDP will serve as a catalyst for academic and industry scholars by empowering them with scale development knowledge in social sciences research.

•Type of Scale: Formative vs Reflective Scale.
•Identification of literature gaps and demands for scale
•Identifying the steps involved in item generation and content validity.
•Assessing psychometric properties with EFAs and CFAs
•Common method Biasness test
•Measurement model invariance test - Configural Invariance, Metric invariance and Scalar Invariance.
•Testing the Nomological Validity of the model

Programme Methodology
The workshop will be conducted in ONLINE mode with totally hands-on experience with IBM SPSS/IBM AMOS/R-software. Concepts through discussion will be followed by practical sessions on the computer. Interpretation and methodology will be parallelly discussed.
