Programme Introduction
An FDP aimed at research scholars and academicians who want to apply Panel Data methods in contemporary research in management and economics. Panel data contains time series and cross-section components, making them helpful in gaining valuable insights. This FDP aims to help participants develop research articles using panel data methods to target high-impact journals.
Programme Objectives:
This faculty development program (FDP) aims to equip researchers with the technical know-how and theoretical foundations of panel data methods and research paper writing. The FDP is a mix of sessions starting from problem identification, data collection, statistical estimation using panel data methods, interpretation of results, and structuring a research paper.
Programme Methodology
Discussion of Econometric models and their applications taught with Gretl (and R when applicable) with relevant datasets. Discussion of empirical papers using Panel Data. Discussion on structuring a research paper.
Who May Attend
Mostly educational institutions but can include organizations where financial research and analytics are regularly carried out.
Faculties and research scholars are the primary target audiences. Though executives working in financial research and analytics may also participate.

Programme Director Prof. Aditya Banerjee
Prof. Aditya Banerjee is currently an Assistant Professor in the Finance Area at the FORE School of Management (FSM). Before joining FSM, He was an Assistant Professor in the Finance Area at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (School of Business). He has been a Lecturer in the Finance area at the Royal University of Bhutan (GCBS). He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and listed in ABDC and ABS. His research focuses on understanding how information from different sources affects stock price movement differently.
Prof. Tarun K. Soni
Prof. Tarun K Soni is currently an Associate Professor in the Finance Area at the FORE School of Management (FSM). Before joining FSM, he worked on public policy issues with prestigious institutions/think tanks like the Ministry of Finance, the Prime Minister’s Office, and Niti Aayog. He has taught finance subjects/courses at the Postgraduate level to management students at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Banasthali University, IBS Gurgaon, and Jaipuria Institute of Management. He is a keen researcher and has published research papers in Scopus/ABDC-listed journals.
